I
plan on becoming more vigilant in getting out my blogs, and I promise I’ll only
talk about writing when something exciting happens.
Something
exciting has happened. I have received my book cover, (Yea!), my blurb, which I
wrote, and my publishing company rewrote…I apparently need a couple of blurb
writing classes…writers, geez.
And,
I received my first round of edits for my debut book, Echoes in the Wind. I’m
relieved my editor Ally didn’t make things too difficult for me, and explained
the changes in short, simple sentences.
The
last few weeks, I’ve been working diligently on improving my story, plus writing
book number 2, Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter Tonight that I hope to have ready at the
end of March.
Cool?
You bet! I’m doing mental cartwheels across my living room floor. It’s exhilarating
when a dream comes true.
So,
I’m posting my blurb and a picture of my wonderful cover. Thanks Rae Monet for
the awesome design.
I’d
love some opinions. Tell me what you think. Here we go!
Geology
instructor Darla Hennessy’s dreams are shattered when her longtime boyfriend dumps
her to marry someone else. On the rebound, she lets a friend drag her to a
party where she meets former teen idol Eric Boyd, the Scottish rocker she had a
crush on years ago.
Eric
has one goal: return to the industry as a legitimate musician and earn the
respect of his peers. But his manager is missing, someone is murdering his
former band mates, and he might be next on the killer’s list. The last thing he
needs is a relationship.
